2018 Cricket Canada AGM - Results

Congratulations to Mr.Rashpal Bajwa, who got re-elected by acclamation as Vice President of Cricket Canada.

U17 Indoor Cricket Training Camp

 

Cricket BC will be running an U17 Indoor Cricket Training Camp, starting 28th Febraury till mid of May at Strawberry Hill School (7633-124th Street), Surrey, BC between 6pm - 10pm on every Wednesday's.

Kulbir Jaswal, Level 3 Coach will conduct this camp training along with Anil Khanna. Detailed Schedule will be shared for the participants.

Goal of this camp is to prepare BC Team to participate in high level games including the tournaments like Jack Kyle cup and Canada Cup.

Cricket BC recommendation to Member Leagues

During the Cricket BC Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 4th November 2017, following motion were unanimously recommended by the member delegates attended the meeting and is fully endorsed by the Cricket BC Board of Directors.
 
Member Leagues are strongly suggest to follow from 2018 season onwards.
 

 

“Cricket BC as the governing body of the Cricket in British Columbia recommends that ALL Elite, Premier and Division 1 games in their jurisdiction have TWO (2) neutral qualified umpires with atleast Level 1 Certification, to officiate in all matches which are minimum of 20 overs.”

Manager of the Canadian National Men’s Team

It is our pleasure to announce that Alphonso Franco, Cricket BC 1st Vice-President and former VDCA President from Incogs Cricket Club, Victoria, BC, has been appointed as the Manager of the Canadian National Men’s Team, by Cricket Canada. Team leaves on the January 25th, 2018 to South Africa to prepare for play in Namibia in the 6 Nation Qualifiers, countries ending up in the top 2 spots go on the Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. The Tournament ends February 16th, 2018 in Namibia. 

Alphonso Franco, a passionate Manager will bring his 40 years of cricket experience to the team. For the last 5 years Franco managed the Colts Cricket Club to a high level of success including winning 2 VISAS Championship and won the Provincial High School Cricket Championship with the Blue Jags, St. Michaels University School Cricket Team.

Members at Large - Junior Co-ordinator - Anil Khanna (Re-Elected by acclamation - 1 year)
Members at Large 1 – Akhtar Nawaz (Re-Elected by acclamation - 1 year)
Members at Large 2 – Sarbjit Gill (Elected by acclamation - 1 year)
